Job summary

Elysium Healthcare is seeking a senior social worker to join Thornford Park in Thatcham. You will manage a caseload of forensic service users, perform assessments, CPA reports, Mental Health Tribunals, and supervise junior staff within a multidisciplinary team.

You will lead safeguarding efforts for children and adults, promote recovery, and help service users engage in their care plans. Regional support and training are provided to aid career development.

Qualifications

• Registration with Social Work England is required.
• Solid knowledge of current mental health legislation and safeguarding.
• Experience working in a forensic/mental health setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the multidisciplinary teams on non-medical mental capacity issues and best interest decisions.
• Liaise with external agencies to support statutory duties (MAPPA, Local Authority Social Services, Police, Probation).
• Support carers and families of detained patients.
