Job summary

Sandwell Children's Trust in Sandwell is expanding its Senior Social Worker team within the Child Protection & Court Teams. You will contribute to safeguarding, complete thorough assessments, and prepare timely evidence-based plans to support vulnerable children and families.

This role offers a market supplement, retention bonuses over three years, generous annual leave, relocation help up to £6,500, and hybrid working with a 37-hour week.

Qualifications

• Qualified social worker registered with Social Work England.
• ASYE completed and at least 2 years post-qualifying experience in Children & Families.
• Experience in safeguarding, child protection and court-related work.
• Ability to analyse information and make evidence-based recommendations.
• Understanding of minimum standards and promoting change in family life.

Responsibilities

• Work with Families First Teams and be based in the same Town.
• Meet timescales set by the Trust and Court.
• Produce court reports, care plans and assessments in a succinct manner.
• Represent the Trust in giving evidence in Court.
