Job summary

The London Borough of Bexley is seeking an experienced Senior Social Worker to join our Complex Care Team in Bexleyheath. You will lead reviews under the Care Act and supervise a small team to ensure high standards of practice and positive outcomes.

This hybrid role combines office-based and flexible working, with two days per week at Bexleyheath Civic Office. A strong Adult Social Care background and leadership skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
• Strong experience within Adult Social Care.
• Experience supporting review activity.
• Experience supervising or supporting a team of practitioners.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to provide effective guidance and professional oversight.
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• Commitment to delivering high-quality Adult Social Care practice.

Responsibilities

• Review and Care Act activity within Adult Social Care.
• Inspire and supervise a small team of practitioners dedicated to undertaking review activity.
• Use strong negotiation skills to support effective outcomes and professional decision-making.
• Provide appropriate guidance and support to practitioners undertaking review / Care Act activity.
• Apply your Adult Social Care experience when supporting people with complex care needs.
