Job summary

LinsCare in Birmingham is seeking an experienced Senior Social Worker to join the busy Child Protection Team. The role requires strong statutory child protection expertise and the ability to manage complex casework while safeguarding children and progressing protection plans.

You will conduct assessments, attend conferences, and work collaboratively with families, schools, health professionals and partner agencies to ensure timely and effective outcomes for vulnerable children.

Qualifications

• Qualified social worker with current Social Work England registration.
• Significant experience in statutory child protection settings.
• Strong assessment, safeguarding, and multi-agency working skills.
• Ability to manage a demanding caseload in a busy team.

Responsibilities

• Manage a complex caseload of children and families in statutory CP setting.
• Undertake assessments and safeguarding interventions to protect children.
• Develop and progress child protection plans within timescales.
• Attend conferences and core groups; participate in multi-agency working.
• Maintain accurate case records per local authority procedures.
