Job summary

Cumberland Council is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join the Advanced Practice Leads Team for an initial 12-month period. The post will be based in Carlisle or Workington and is for internal applicants only, with supervision under the Professional Practice Lead for Social Work.

The role supports Adult Social Care to deliver its Achieving Excellence Plan and works closely with the Principal Occupational Therapist to evidence good practice and drive improvements.

Qualifications

• Experienced Social Worker with knowledge and enthusiasm to develop high standards of practice across Adult Social Care.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to promote a positive culture and improve practice and outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to service development projects and develop best practice guidance.
• Facilitate learning events and support governance and quality assurance activities.
