Job summary

CITY OF BRADFORD METROPOLITAN DISTRICT COUNCIL is seeking an Advanced Practitioner in Social Work to support the Adults with Disabilities locality team in Bradford. You will supervise staff, assist the Team Manager in coordinating workload, and contribute to practice development with a focus on human rights and UN CRPD principles.

The role requires a strong commitment to human rights, with experience in supervising social workers and supporting ASYE practitioners.

Qualifications

• Experience as a social worker with supervisory responsibilities.
• Knowledge of Adult Social Care legislation and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Support the Team Manager to plan and coordinate the work of the Adults with Disabilities locality team.
• Mentor and supervise new social workers undertaking ASYE.
• Contribute to practice development and performance improvement.
• Operate within departmental policy and procedures, including digital innovation.
