NHS National Services Scotland is seeking an experienced practitioner to support the Social Work Team Manager in Golspie. This full-time role involves leading a team of social workers, ensuring quality practice, and contributing to integrated health and social care delivery. Applicants must have a driving license and access to a vehicle.

This is a new and exciting opportunity to share your expertise as an experienced practitioner and directly assist Social Work Team Manager with their duties and responsibilities.
Working under the supervision of the Social Work Team Manager within your District, you will provide leadership, advice, support and guidance to social workers and social care staff within your District Team.
You will lead on elements of practice to ensure that professional standards and service objectives as set out within the terms of legislation, policy, guidance and delegated responsibilities are adhered to.
You will contribute to service improvement and quality of practice of the District Team and ensure their contribution to the delivery of Integrated Health and Social Care for the adult population of Sutherland. This is an important time of change in NHS Highland’s approach to service delivery and the post holder will have an important role in supporting team members through the change process.
Although this post is a 37 hr, full-time post; part-time/secondment and fixed term contracts will be considered.
A driving licence is essential and applicants should have access to their own vehicle for work purposes.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
