Job summary

Liverpool FC is seeking a Senior Specialist, Social Media to join the team in Liverpool. This role sits within the Social Media team and focuses on creating, distributing and optimising commercial content across the Club’s social platforms.

You will partner with Content, Graphics, Commercial and Marketing to deliver branded content and paid social campaigns, identify trends, and measure performance to drive channel growth and engagement.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of major social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, YouTube).
• Strong knowledge of LFC squads, players, managers and staff across men’s, women’s, and youth teams.
• Experience delivering integrated campaigns with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to respond quickly to real-time developments under pressure.
• Strong editorial judgement and attention to detail in content creation and publishing.

Responsibilities

• Be the social lead for commercial content optimisation and feedback, both internally and externally.
• Support and optimise partnership ideas/activations and club marketing campaigns to ensure they are suitable for social media in a way that benefits club channels.
• Shape the club’s global social media presence via commercial content, introducing innovative ideas, formats, and concepts.
• Partner with internal and external stakeholders to develop and deliver branded content and paid social campaigns.
• Identify social trends, cultural moments, and emerging platform opportunities relevant to our audience.
• Monitor competitor activity and broader industry trends to keep LFC at the forefront of social media.
• Utilise research, analytics, and performance measurement tools to inform and optimise content strategy.
• Ensure all activity aligns with brand, platform, and partner requirements.
