Job summary

Choice Care is seeking a Team Leader for a residential care home in Swindon. The role involves leading a team of social care workers, ensuring high-quality care, and reporting to seniors. Prior care sector experience and a willingness to learn are essential.

You will guide staff, support residents with daily activities, and coordinate with shift leaders to maintain a safe, positive environment. The position offers a 48-hour week with shift work and weekends on a rota, and a range of benefits

Responsibilities

• Taking the lead with supporting adults with learning disabilities and complex needs in a residential care environment.

• Supervising and sharing mealtimes with residents to encourage a positive attitude towards food and dining.

Overview of the role

The role of the Team Leader is to provide support and guidance to a team of social care workers, whilst making sure you always provide the highest level of care and leadby example. You will also liaise with the seniors in the home reporting any matters of concern.You must have experience in the care sector and have the willingness to learn and expand on your previous knowledge. Not only will you make a huge difference topeople’s lives, but you’ll be able to enjoy days out, trips away and join in with many more activities, all of which ensures the people we work with are safe, happy and lead fulfilling lives.

Where will you work?

Ridgeway House in Swindon supports up to eight men and women of various ages with mental health conditions and associated complex needs.Ridgeway has a very large rear garden with a separate activities building. The home also has its own transport for local travel, visits and outings. Everyone living at Ridgeway House has a bespoke support plan, based on their personal preferences, likes and dislikes and goals. Staff aim to support each person to develop self-confidence and day-to-day living skills, with the aim of moving on to a more independent lifestyle.
