Job summary

JLL is seeking a Smart Buildings Engineering Lead to steer strategic and tactical engineering for two premium properties. You will drive the integration of advanced BMS, IoT, and analytics into operations, acting as the engineering authority for service delivery and asset management.

You will lead shift teams, collaborate with landlords, and set standards for operational excellence across the portfolio, ensuring cost-effective, data-driven maintenance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Essential: degree in Electrical or Mechanical engineering.
• Minimum 8 years in building services engineering with career progression.
• Minimum 4 years in senior leadership with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Proven track record in strategic engineering leadership in complex properties.
• Experience with smart building technologies, BMS, and data-driven maintenance.
• Experience managing landlord relationships and multi-stakeholder delivery.
• Strong commercial acumen with budget management and procurement.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute engineering strategy for two properties with smart tech underpinning operations.
• Lead shift teams, set patterns, resources, and coverage to control costs.
• Drive technology integration across engineering, including data analytics and KPI tracking.
• Oversee preventative and reactive maintenance with advanced analytics for optimisation.
• Manage client and landlord relationships; communicate technical matters to non-technical audiences.
• Monitor budgets, procurements, and capital planning for major upgrades.
