Job summary

Active Care Group is seeking a Lead Speech and Language Therapist in Birmingham to drive the transition of our Birmingham centre to Active Neuro. You will lead a high-performing SLT team, shaping service delivery, and embedding evidence-based practice in a seven-day model of care.

You will supervise junior SLTs, deliver specialist assessments, and contribute to safeguarding, governance, and quality improvement across the therapy service. Enhanced DBS and HCPC registration are required.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration is required.
• Experience in neurorehabilitation settings is preferred.
• Experience in dysphagia assessment and management.

Responsibilities

• Deliver highly specialist SLT assessment and intervention for clients with complex neurological needs.
• Lead development and delivery of evidence-based therapy programmes with the MDT.
• Supervise and mentor junior SLTs and assistants.
• Take responsibility as Key Worker, coordinating therapy planning and discharge.
