Overview

Senior Site Supervisor – Power & Renewables | Scotland – Central Belt

Location: Glasgow base, covering sites across the Central Belt. Type: Permanent, Full-Time. Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 (38 hours/week) + overtime (realistic earnings closer to £80,000).

Join a leading Power & Renewables contractor working on high-voltage projects involving trenching and cable laying, servicing substations and onshore/offshore wind farms.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate electrical trade teams on-site to ensure safe and efficient work
  • Plan and organise daily site activities, ensuring progress is on schedule and within budget
  • Maintain clear communication with clients, subcontractors, and project managers
  • Monitor and report site progress, including quality checks and compliance with health and safety standards
  • Manage materials and equipment deliveries to ensure availability and minimise delays
  • Identify and resolve site issues quickly to avoid disruptions
  • Mentor and develop site team members, promoting best practices and strong teamwork
  • Support risk management and implement mitigation measures on site
Candidate Requirements
  • Relevant industry tickets mandatory (e.g., proof of experience on at least 2 high-voltage sites)
  • Senior trades qualification or equivalent
  • 5+ years’ site experience in power transmission, renewables, pharma, commercial or industrial sectors
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and drawings
  • Experience as a Site Supervisor ready to step up or a Site Manager happy to work at this level
  • Strong communication, organisational, and leadership skills
  • Commercial awareness and ability to work under pressure
