Job summary

VIQU IT Recruitment is partnering with a well-established B2B SaaS company to hire a Senior Site Reliability Engineer in Milton Keynes (2 days on-site per week). You will build stability, respond to live incidents, and help with the platform transformation, owning how the cloud function works and guiding tooling adoption.

The role offers up to £75,000 with bonus and on-call allowance, plus opportunities to progress into a team lead as the team grows, and to work across Azure and hybrid

Qualifications

• Experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or similar in a SaaS/MSP environment.
• Strong hands-on Azure and on-premises VM experience.
• Experience with IaC/Terraform, container orchestration (Kubernetes/AKS), and observability tooling (Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, Azure Monitor).
• Ability to implement new processes and tools and drive adoption across teams.
• Strong communication across internal teams and external customers.
• Networking across cloud (Azure) and on-prem environments.
• Windows or Linux systems administration (Linux preferred).
• Experience with AI tooling to enhance efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Utilise Terraform and Kubernetes to provision and configure servers and networks and automate lifecycles.
• Regularly use Datadog and other observability tools for performance monitoring.
• Implement new working methods and help shape incident response.
• Own incident resolutions and drive improvements.
• Actively reduce MTTR and incident frequency by evaluating key incidents.
• Participate in an on-call rota to respond to incidents.
• Identify areas for automation and implement changes to raise reliability.
