Job summary
AkzoNobel UK is seeking a Site Responsible Engineer to lead mechanical engineering and maintenance at the Felling site. You will govern asset integrity, drive maintenance strategies and mentor a team of Engineering Supervisors and Technicians.
You’ll collaborate with Production, HSE, Process Safety and Projects to deliver the capital programme and ensure compliance with COMAH, LOLER, PUWER, PSSR and ATEX, embedding best practices to boost reliability and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- Significant leadership experience in COMAH or major hazard industries.
- Proven track record leading maintenance teams and improving asset performance.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach and develop a high-performing mechanical engineering team.
- Act as technical authority for mechanical engineering and governance.
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies to improve reliability.
- Ensure asset integrity and compliance with statutory programmes.
- Deliver engineering projects from concept through commissioning.
- Collaborate with Production, HSE, Process Safety and Projects teams.
