Job summary

Orchard Recruitment Solutions are working alongside a national house builder to recruit an experienced Site Manager to oversee a residential housing development in Sunderland. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Site Manager to join an established contractor on a long-term residential development, taking responsibility for the day-to-day management and delivery of the site.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Site Manager on new build housing
• Strong knowledge of residential construction
• Experience coordinating subcontractors and multiple trades
• SMSTS literacy and site safety standards
• CSCS card holding and on-site health & safety practices
• First Aid certification and emergency readiness

Responsibilities

• Managing the day-to-day running of the development
• Coordinating subcontractors and site labour
• Ensuring health & safety standards are maintained
• Managing programmes and ensuring works remain on schedule
• Carrying out regular site inspections and quality checks
• Liaising with the client, subcontractors and other site management
• Managing materials, deliveries and site logistics
• Ensuring plots are delivered to the required quality standards
• Maintaining accurate site records and documentation
• Driving the project forward and ensuring key deadlines are achieved
