Job summary

Fawkes & Reece London is seeking a Senior Site Manager for a Blackburn development of 200 units. You will lead a site workforce, deliver high-quality homes on time and within budget, and uphold health, safety and environmental standards.

Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will control production, cost, and compliance, while coordinating with customers, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure successful delivery.

Qualifications

• Trade background, joinery or bricklaying preferred.
• Essential CSCS card, First Aid and SMSTS.
• Desirable CIOB Site Management, Scaffold Appreciation, Crane Supervisor.
• Ability to meet deadlines and liaise with internal and external teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage site workforce to construct high-quality homes on schedule and within budgets.
• Maintain and enforce Health & Safety policies and environmental requirements.
• Induct staff, sub-contractors and visitors; ensure site records are up to date.
• Organise regular site meetings and pre-plan resources (labour, plant, materials).
• Attend and minute weekly Sales/Construction meetings.
• Inspect plots for quality and coordinate NHBC inspections.
• Ensure site administration aligns with Head Office requirements.

Senior Site Manager

A regional house builder have a requirement for a Senior Site Manager for a development based in Blackburn with 200 units, a mix of 2, 3,4 and 5 bed homes.

Senior Site Manager role

Reporting to the Contracts Manager you will establish and manage a site workforce capable of constructing the quality new homes in a safe and diligent manner, to the highest possible standard, ensuring the programme and budgets are met in line with health, safety and environmental requirements.

Duties and responsibilities include:

• Ensure visitors are aware of the company Health & Safety Policy ensuring that they are accompanied by a company representative
• Ensure that Company Health & Safety Policies and procedures are strictly adhered to
• Maintain and produce, on request, up-to-date Health & Safety records
• Ensure all Environmental and Waste Management Policies are adhered to
• Ensure that all staff, sub-contractors and visitors to the site are appropriately inducted
• Fully co-operate with the Company's Customer Care and Customer Satisfaction Policy and Procedures
• Take ownership of agreed build programmes at pre-start meetings and accept and check the full build package handed over at this meeting
• Deliver all aspects of production requirements in strict accordance with relevant technical and planning documentation provided
• Conform to building regulations and warranty providers' requirements
• Ensure cost effective production in line with development budgets by ensuring that the work undertaken is in full accordance with the cost provision allocated
• Organise regular site production meetings and pre-plan and ensure efficient usage of all resources, including labour, sub-contractors, plant and materials
• Ensure accurate production/progress returns are updated
• Attend and minute a weekly Sales/Construction Meeting
• Ensure the quality of finished product and thoroughly inspect and snag each plot prior to each NHBC key stage inspection
• Ensure all site administration is carried out in accordance with Head Office requirements
