Job summary

Skilled Careers, on behalf of a leading main contractor, seeks a Senior Site Manager to lead a major mixed-use development in Guildford. You will drive delivery from construction through to handover, ensuring safety, programme and quality standards are met.

You will manage multi-trade activities, lead site teams, coordinate subcontractors and liaise with clients and consultants on a complex residential and commercial project.

Qualifications

• Established Senior Site Manager with main contractor background.
• Experience delivering large-scale mixed-use developments.
• Strong understanding of programmes, sequencing and logistics.
• Proven ability to lead site teams and coordinate subcontractors.
• Commitment to health, safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate site activities across multiple work packages.
• Lead and develop Site Managers and the site team.
• Maintain programme and commercial objectives with the Project Manager.
• Coordinate subcontractors and specialist contractors for efficient delivery.
• Monitor progress and identify delays or risks.
• Ensure works align with drawings, specs and quality requirements.
• Maintain health, safety and environmental compliance.
• Attend and chair subcontractor and progress meetings.
• Liaise with consultants, clients and supply-chain partners.
• Ensure inspection and QA documentation is completed.
• Support the project through construction to handover.
