Job summary

Catering is seeking an experienced Site Manager for a long-term freelance role on a residential housing project in the Guildford area. You will lead internal works, coordinate trades, and ensure high-quality finishes while maintaining stringent health and safety standards.

The ideal candidate has a strong background with a main contractor, SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certification, and is able to commit to a long-term freelance position on site in the South East.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Site Manager with a main contractor.
• Strong residential / housing background.
• Experience managing internals and finishing works.
• Strong knowledge of new-build residential construction.
• SMSTS.
• CSCS.
• First Aid.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Able to commit to a long-term freelance position.

• Coordinate subcontractors and trades to ensure works are delivered safely, on programme and to a high standard.
• Monitor quality, progress and productivity across the site.
• Carry out regular inspections and ensure works are completed in line with drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate with the wider site management and construction team.
• Manage snagging and ensure outstanding works are closed out efficiently.
• Maintain high standards of health & safety and site organisation.
• Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers and site teams to resolve any issues.

The successful candidate will have a strong background managing internal works and finishes on residential or housing developments, with previous experience working for a main contractor.
