Willmott Dixon is recruiting a Senior Site Manager to lead education-building projects in the Oxford area. You will join a team that delivers quality, on time, and within budget while supporting the local community.

The role requires a track record of delivering construction projects, experience in live educational environments, and qualifications such as CSCS, SMSTS, and First Aid at Work. A full UK driving licence and engineering background preferred.

Qualifications

• A proven track record of delivering construction projects as part of a team.
• Experience working on live educational projects.
• Technical knowledge of managing complex infrastructure and groundworks.
• Engineering background with minimum qualifications (HNC/HND/NVQ4).
• Ability to read and interpret programmes, drawings and specs.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• CSCS card.
• SMSTS certificate.
• First Aid at Work certificate.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Construction Project Manager and deliver projects safely, on time and within budget.
• Provide leadership and people management.
• Maintain the highest standards of health, safety and environmental management.
• Implement project strategies to achieve sustainability objectives.
• Establish quality standards on-site and ensure delivery to project specs.
• Understand client priorities and maintain professional relations.
• Implement supply chain policy.
• Support the Considerate Constructors Scheme and community relations.
• Develop project programmes and coordinate works and supply chain.
• Minimise waste and manage budget to avoid losses.
• Maintain CPD for technical awareness.
• Comply with standard procedures.
• Manage project handover and defect-free completion.
• Support defect closure during defects period and obtain GGD certificate.
