Job summary

Catering in Leicester seeks an experienced Site Manager to oversee a live school construction project and ensure safe, on-time delivery. You will manage subcontractors, coordinate deliveries and maintain site records, while working around pupils and staff with sensitivity to safeguarding requirements.

The role requires SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid at Work, plus proven site management experience on education or live-site projects. A proactive, detail-oriented approach is essential.

Qualifications

• SMSTS is essential and should be possessed by the candidate.
• CSCS card and First Aid at Work certification are required.
• Relevant construction qualifications or equivalent experience preferred.
• Experience with safeguarding in live education environments is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day running of the construction site and coordinate site operations.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, trades and site operatives.
• Ensure works are carried out safely and in line with RAMS and procedures.
• Maintain site security and safe segregation between construction and school activities.
• Monitor progress against the construction programme and report to stakeholders.
• Liaise with Project Manager, client, school reps and subcontractors.
