Job summary

Clarkson Owens Recruitment is partnering with a well-established Scottish construction contractor to appoint an experienced Site Manager in Glasgow.

You will lead on-site activities from mobilisation through to handover, ensuring safety, programme, budget and quality standards are met, coordinating subcontractors and suppliers, and reporting progress to the project team.

Qualifications

• Experience as Site Manager with a recognised main contractor.
• Strong understanding of construction processes and sequencing.
• Excellent subcontractor management skills.
• Good knowledge of health & safety requirements.
• Ability to manage programmes and work to demanding project deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Managing all day-to-day activities on site
• Coordinating subcontractors, trades and suppliers
• Managing project programmes and ensuring key milestones are achieved
• Maintaining high standards of health & safety
• Conducting site inductions, toolbox talks and site inspections
• Monitoring quality and ensuring works are completed to specification
• Liaising with Contracts Managers, Quantity Surveyors and the wider project team
• Managing client and consultant relationships at site level
• Identifying and resolving potential programme or construction issues
• Managing site records, progress reporting and project documentation
• Coordinating deliveries, labour and site logistics
• Managing snagging and ensuring a high-quality project handover
