• Proven Senior Site Manager experience on refurbishment projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction sequencing and site management.
• Experience coordinating subcontractors and multiple workstreams.
• Strong programme and coordination skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• SMSTS, CSCS qualifications and First Aid are advantageous.
• Experience on public sector or government-related projects is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for day-to-day site activities.
• Lead and coordinate subcontractors, site teams and trades.
• Manage the programme and ensure works are delivered safely, on time and to requirement.
• Coordinate refurbishment and associated construction activities.
• Liaise with Project Manager, Quantity Surveyor and project team.
• Ensure works meet quality and specification standards.
• Manage site health, safety and environmental requirements.
• Monitor progress and report to the project team.
• Attend site meetings and coordinate logistics and resources.
• Maintain accurate site records and documentation.
• Identify and resolve issues to protect programme and quality.

The successful candidate will take a lead role on site, overseeing the delivery of refurbishment and associated construction works while working closely with the project management and commercial teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate refurbishment and associated construction activities.
• Liaise closely with the Project Manager, Quantity Surveyor and wider project team.
• Ensure all works are completed to the required quality and specification.
• Manage site health, safety and environmental requirements.
• Monitor progress and provide regular updates to the project team.
• Attend and contribute to site meetings.
• Coordinate logistics, deliveries, materials and site resources.
• Ensure all project documentation and site records are maintained accurately.
• Identify and resolve issues proactively to maintain programme and quality.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

• Proven experience as a Senior Site Manager on refurbishment or similar construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction sequencing and site management.
• Experience managing subcontractors and multiple workstreams.
• Strong programme and coordination skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Relevant SMSTS and CSCS qualifications.
• First Aid qualification.
• A strong understanding of health & safety and quality requirements.
• Previous experience working on public sector or government-related projects would be advantageous.
