Ridgeway & Co Recruitment is seeking an experienced Senior Site Manager to lead a new-build care home development in Reading, Berkshire. The role focuses on day-to-day site operations, subcontractor coordination and delivering projects on time and to high quality standards.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in care home construction, drive progress on site, manage multiple trades and work closely with the Project Manager and wider team.

Responsabilités

• Take responsibility for day-to-day management and coordination of site operations on a new-build care home development.
• Oversee construction activities to ensure safety, efficiency, and alignment with the programme.
• Manage and coordinate subcontractors across structural, internal, external and finishing packages.
• Monitor subcontractor performance, productivity, workmanship and progress against milestones.
• Coordinate works across bedrooms, bathrooms, corridors, communal areas and kitchens.
• Oversee internal fit-out and finishing packages (drylining, plastering, decorating, flooring, carpentry, joinery, kitchens, bathrooms, final finishes).
• Review construction programmes with the Project Manager to identify delays and implement corrective actions.
• Chair subcontractor coordination meetings and communicate priorities and deadlines clearly.
• Ensure works comply with drawings, specifications, building regs and quality standards.
• Coordinate with mechanical and electrical subcontractors for installations, testing and commissioning as per the programme.
• Maintain site records, progress reports and subcontractor performance documentation.
• Support delivery to client inspections and handover.
