We are working on behalf of a residential developer seeking an experienced Senior Site Manager to lead the delivery of a residential development in the Bristol area.

This is an excellent opportunity for an established construction professional to take ownership of site operations, lead the site team and drive the successful delivery of a high-quality residential scheme.

We are particularly interested in speaking with candidates who have a strong background in residential construction, with experience in either traditional build or RC frame developments.

The Role

As Senior Site Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of the development, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on programme, within budgetary parameters and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Taking overall responsibility for the day-to-day running and coordination of site operations.
• Managing and motivating the site team, including Assistant Site Managers and subcontractors.
• Planning and monitoring construction programmes to ensure key milestones and completion dates are achieved.
• Maintaining the highest standards of health and safety across the development.
• Overseeing build quality, ensuring works comply with drawings, specifications and building regulations.
• Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers and site resources to maintain efficient workflow.
• Monitoring progress, identifying potential delays and implementing corrective actions where required.
• Attending site meetings and providing regular progress updates to senior management.
• Managing site documentation, inspections, quality assurance and compliance requirements.
• Working closely with commercial, technical and customer care teams to ensure the smooth delivery of the development.
• Driving a positive site culture, promoting accountability, teamwork and continuous improvement.

About You

• Proven experience as a Senior Site Manager or an experienced Site Manager ready to take the next step.
• A strong background in residential construction or housebuilding.
• Experience delivering developments using traditional build or RC frame methods.
• A thorough understanding of construction programmes, site management, health and safety and quality assurance.
• The ability to lead site teams and manage multiple subcontractors effectively.
• Strong communication, planning and problem-solving skills.
• A proactive, commercially aware approach to delivering projects.
• Relevant construction qualifications, including SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid.
