Job description

ACR has partnered with a Top 5 Housebuilder, seeking a Senior Site Manager for a scheme in London. The project involves high-rise apartments, requiring RC Frame experience.

The Role

The Senior Site Manager reports to the Construction Manager and oversees all aspects of the construction site, ensuring safety, efficiency, cost-effectiveness, high-quality work, and customer satisfaction within specified timelines.

Principal responsibilities include:

1. Managing daily operations and providing clear guidance to site personnel regarding responsibilities and targets.
2. Implementing health and safety procedures.
3. Motivating, supporting, and managing site staff through toolbox talks, training, coaching, and performance support.
4. Maintaining site presentation standards.
5. Delivering production requirements in accordance with technical and planning documentation and adapting to instructions as needed.
6. Ensuring compliance with building regulations and warranty requirements (NHBC, LABC Services).
7. Maintaining accurate progress and production records, including reports, labor, plant, materials, inductions, and safety records.
8. Ensuring remedial work is completed before NHBC key stage inspections.

Experience, Qualifications, and Skills

Experience

• Experience as a Site or Senior Site Manager with a high-volume residential builder.
• Proven team management skills.
• Up-to-date knowledge of health, safety, and building legislation.

Qualifications and Training

• GCSE Maths and English – Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent).
• Valid SMSTS certificate.
• Valid First Aid certificate.
• Construction Management qualification (HNC Level 4, HND Level 5, or NVQ Level 6) is desirable.
• Scaffold Appreciation and LOLER certificates are desirable.

Skills and Aptitude

• Effective communication and listening skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks.

• Proficiency in IT, especially Microsoft Office suite.
