Job summary

BAM UK & Ireland is recruiting a Site Manager or Senior Site Manager to join the Northern construction business. The role involves managing the engineering, construction and completion of projects on time and on budget, with a project in Rotherham.

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will supervise subcontractors, ensure health and safety standards, and maintain detailed records, schedules and handover documentation on site.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering high quality projects across construction sites.
• Broad construction technical experience.
• Experience on varied construction projects; school construction experience is a plus.
• Health & Safety qualification (ideally SMSTS).
• Confident with IT packages and systems.
• HNC/Degree, MCIOB or equivalent or trade background.
• Full driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction processes with knowledge of M&E installations.
• Ensure quality records are produced and monitored to meet specifications.
• Comply with Health & Safety Management Plan and BAM procedures.
• Set up and monitor handover schedules, keys, spares and completion documentation.
• Ensure BAM environmental procedures are implemented on site.
• Maintain site diaries and records of subcontractor attendance and progress.
• Manage direct and subcontractor packages and related records.
• Provide input on buildability issues as required.

BAM UK & Ireland is recruiting a Site Manager or Senior Site Manager, to join the Northern construction business.

As a Site Manager you will be managing, controlling and supporting the engineering, construction and completion of projects on time and on budget and based on a project in Rotherham.

Making Possible

Reporting to the Project Manager and becoming an integral member of the construction team you would be expected to demonstrate a clear understanding of the construction management role, management of subcontractors and have a proven track record of exceeding targets and achieving high scores in health and safety, environmental management and Considerate Constructor Scheme.

• Management of complex Construction process including knowledge of Mechanical & Electrical installations
• Ensure that appropriate quality records are being produced and monitored to verify that the works are produced in accordance with the specification requirements.
• Ensure compliance with the Health and Safety Management Plan and BAM Operating Procedures including the Construction Phase Management Plan
• Set up and monitor handover schedules, keys, spares and completion documentation.
• Ensuring BAM construction environmental procedures are implemented on site.
• Keep site diaries including records of subcontractor attendance and progress.
• Manage direct and sub-contractor packages and the keeping of associated records
• Input on buildability issues as required.

What do you bring to the role?

• Experience in delivering high quality projects
• Broad construction based technical experience.
• Experience working on various types of Construction projects. School construction experience would be beneficial although not essential.
• A relevant Health & Safety qualification and be competent to carry out site management tasks they are directed to do, ideally SMSTS.
• Confident in the use of IT packages and systems.Self-motivation and ability to work autonomously
• HNC/Degree, MCIOB or equivalent or a trade's background.
• Full driving licence.
