Job summary

Rogers McHugh Recruitment is seeking an experienced Senior Site Manager to lead a restaurant fit out at Heathrow Airport, landside. You will coordinate the fit out from mobilisation through to completion, including MEP works, new counters and flooring, while managing subcontractors and ensuring quality and safety on site.

You should be comfortable working away from home when required, with a strong pipeline of similar projects anticipated after this role.

Qualifications

• Experience as Site Manager or Senior Site Manager in fit out or construction.
• Airport project experience is a real advantage, landside works preferred.
• Strong understanding of MEP, finishes and multi-trade coordination.

About you

If you are an experienced Senior Site Manager who enjoys being responsible for a project from start to finish, this could be a really good opportunity for you.

You will ideally have experience working in airports, particularly on landside projects, although that is not essential. If your background is in restaurant fit out, catering, retail or similar environments, there are other projects within the business that could suit you.

What matters most is that you know how to run a site properly. You are organised, commercially aware, confident dealing with subcontractors and suppliers, and comfortable taking responsibility for programme, quality, health and safety and delivery.

You also need to be prepared to work away from home when required. The company has a strong pipeline of projects, although they cannot guarantee that every job will be local to you.

Your experience

You will need previous experience as a Site Manager or Senior Site Manager within fit out or construction.

Experience of airport projects would be a real advantage, particularly landside works. Experience within restaurant fit out, catering, retail fit out or similar environments will also be considered.

You should have a good understanding of MEP services, internal finishes, flooring, new counters and the coordination of multiple trades on live projects.

You will also need a valid CSCS Card, SMSTS and First Aid.

What you will be doing with your experience

Initially, you will be responsible for a restaurant fit out project at Heathrow Airport, working landside.

The project will involve coordinating the fit out from site mobilisation through to completion, including MEP works, new counters, flooring and other associated construction and fit out activities.

You will manage subcontractors and trades on site, make sure the programme is being followed, maintain high standards of health and safety, coordinate with the project team and ensure the work is delivered to the required quality.

There is also a strong pipeline behind this project, with around five similar projects currently expected to come forward. These are likely to range from around £500,000 to £1 million in value.

That gives you the opportunity to join a business with plenty of work ahead rather than taking a role that is purely focused on one project.

About the business

You will be joining an established construction and fit out contractor delivering projects across a range of sectors, with particular experience in specialist fit out and environments where quality, programme and attention to detail are important.

The business has a healthy pipeline of projects and is looking to bring in an experienced Senior Site Manager who can take ownership on site and help deliver the work to a high standard.

The salary is around £60,000 all in, depending on your experience and suitability for the role.
