Job summary

Rogers McHugh Recruitment is seeking an experienced Senior Site Manager with a strong background in fit out. You will lead a range of fit out projects across office, restaurant, retail and leisure environments, coordinating subcontractors and trades to deliver on programme and quality.

You must be prepared to travel nationwide, with projects across the UK. CSCS, SMSTS and First Aid are essential, and the salary is around 60,000 all in, dependent on experience.

About you

If you are an experienced Senior Site Manager with a strong background in fit out, this could be a really good opportunity for you.

The key thing we are looking for is someone who has genuinely worked on fit out projects and understands what it takes to manage a project from mobilisation through to completion. Your experience could come from office fit out, restaurant and hospitality, retail, leisure or similar environments.

You will be organised, commercially aware and confident managing subcontractors, suppliers and multiple trades on site. You will take ownership of the programme, quality, health and safety and overall delivery of the project.

You must also be prepared to work nationwide. The company's projects can be anywhere across the UK, so this role will suit someone who is comfortable travelling and working away from home when required.

Your experience

You will need previous experience as a Site Manager or Senior Site Manager working on fit out projects.

Your background could include:

• Office fit out
• Restaurant and hospitality fit out
• Retail fit out
• Leisure fit out
• Commercial interiors
• Other specialist or high-quality fit out environments

You should have a strong understanding of coordinating multiple trades and managing fit out activities including MEP services, internal finishes, flooring, counters and associated construction works.

Experience of working on projects from start to finish is important, as you will be expected to take ownership of the site and ensure the project is delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality.

A valid CSCS Card, SMSTS and First Aid are essential.

You must also be prepared to work nationwide, with projects potentially requiring you to stay away from home.

What you will be doing with your experience

Initially, you will be responsible for a restaurant fit out project at Heathrow Airport, working landside.

You will manage the project from site mobilisation through to completion, coordinating subcontractors and trades and making sure the programme is delivered effectively.

The project will involve MEP works, new counters, flooring and other associated construction and fit out activities.

You will be responsible for managing the site team and subcontractors, maintaining high standards of health and safety, coordinating with the wider project team, monitoring progress and ensuring the finished project meets the required quality standards.

There is also a strong pipeline behind this project, with around five similar projects currently expected to come forward. These are likely to range from around 500,000 to 1 million in value.
