Job summary

Avocet Ltd. is seeking an experienced Site Manager for a major residential development in Brize Norton, Oxfordshire. You’ll lead day-to-day site activities, ensuring safety, quality and programme delivery on a scheme of up to 350 new homes.

Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will coordinate subcontractors, manage site labour, and collaborate with commercial and technical teams to drive successful handover of completed properties.

Qualifications

• Experience managing residential housing developments.
• Strong understanding of construction programmes and sequencing.
• Proven track record in managing subcontractors and trades.
• Excellent health and safety awareness on site.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid certifications.

£70,000 – £75,000 + package | Permanent

We’re working with a well-established residential developer on a major new development in Brize Norton, Oxfordshire, and they’re looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager to kick of this new community development of high quality houses.

The development will deliver a significant new community, including up to 350 new homes, alongside associated infrastructure, landscaping, open space and community facilities.

This is a great opportunity for a Site Manager who enjoys being hands-on and wants to be involved in a sizeable residential development from the early stages through to completion.

The Role

Reporting into the Construction Manager, you’ll take responsibility for the day-to-day management of the site, ensuring the development is delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.

You’ll be responsible for:

About You

You’ll ideally have:

• Previous experience managing residential housing developments
• A strong understanding of construction programmes and sequencing
• Experience managing subcontractors and trades
• Excellent health & safety awareness
• Good quality control and attention to detail
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• SMSTS
• CSCS
• First Aid
