Job Opportunity: Site Manager in Bristol

Synergy Personnel is seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our team in Bristol, Gloucestershire. The role involves delivering excellent service to clients, overseeing daily site operations, and ensuring a safe working environment. The ideal candidate will be computer savvy, embracing the growing use of technology in construction and site procedures.

Our client undertakes a diverse range of projects, from traditional refurbishments to complex new build design and build, with project values ranging from £1m to £30m.

Responsibilities

1. Build and maintain good relationships with customers, consultants, and supply chain members.
2. Plan all aspects of projects, identify challenges, and propose solutions.
3. Monitor project progress against schedules and take corrective actions when necessary.
4. Promote company values and a culture of continuous improvement.
5. Set high standards for safety, quality, and customer service, ensuring procedures are followed.
6. Lead site meetings, reviewing safety, progress, quality, and coordination.
7. Manage subcontractors, ensuring timely work completion and quality standards.
8. Control and monitor the use of labour, plant, and materials, minimizing waste.

Qualifications and Skills

• Strong commercial acumen.
• Objective problem-solving skills to bring parties together for successful outcomes.
• Ability to build and lead effective teams.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proficiency in IT and its application in construction processes.
• Certifications: SMSTS, First Aid at Work, CSCS.

Experience
