Job summary

Fluor in Royston is seeking an experienced HSE Manager to drive health, safety and environmental excellence on a major site-based project in Royston. You will lead on-site HSE delivery, manage risk assessments, permits to work, and incident investigations, while ensuring compliance with UK legislation and client standards.

You will chair HSE meetings, deliver inductions and training, monitor performance metrics, and drive continual improvement within a collaborative project team.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree, diploma, or professional HSE qualification (e.g. NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent).
• Proven experience leading HSE on major projects and strong knowledge of UK HSE legislation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and promote a strong HSE culture across the project.
• Provide day-to-day HSE leadership on site activities.
• Advise teams on HSE legislation and client requirements.
• Deliver site inductions and HSE training initiatives.
• Chair HSE meetings and participate in project reviews.
• Conduct site inspections, audits, and incident investigations.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulators on HSE matters.
• Review permits to work, risk assessments and method statements.
• Monitor HSE performance metrics and drive improvements.
• Support continuous improvement and ensure project HSE objectives are met.
