Job summary

Fluor Corp is seeking an experienced HSE Manager for a major Royston site-based project. You will drive health, safety, and environmental excellence across multiple fronts, ensuring compliance while promoting a proactive safety culture throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree, diploma, or professional HSE qualification.
• Proven experience in a similar HSE leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of UK HSE legislation and industry best practices.
• Experience managing contractor HSE performance on complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and promote a strong HSE culture across the project.
• Provide day-to-day HSE leadership and oversight on site activities.
• Advise project teams on HSE legislation, company standards, and client requirements.
• Deliver site inductions and support HSE training initiatives.
• Chair and participate in HSE meetings, forums, and project reviews.
• Conduct site inspections, audits, contractor assessments, and incident investigations.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities on all HSE-related matters.
• Review permits to work, risk assessments, and method statements.
• Monitor, analyse, and report HSE performance metrics and trends.
• Drive the implementation of corrective and preventative actions to improve project performance.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with project HSE objectives.
