Job summary

SSE is seeking a Lead Site Construction Manager to join the ASTI Project team in delivering a major infrastructure programme. Based from one of our Scottish locations (Perth, Inverness, or Aberdeen), you will spend most of your time on project sites and lead construction activities to meet programme and quality targets.

You will recruit and develop the construction team, ensure CDM compliance and contract adherence, and share expertise with project managers to identify resources and risks across

Qualifications

• Experience leading large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of NEC contracts and NEC supervisor role.
• Site management qualifications (CSCS, EUSR, NEBOSH, IOSH or SMSTS) desirable.
• Understanding health and safety legislation and CDM 2015 regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Construction team to deliver site activities safely and on programme.
• Recruit, onboard and develop Construction Site Managers, Supervisors and Trainee Site Construction Managers.
• Ensure compliance with CDM Regulations and monitor contractor performance.
• Collaborate with other Lead Construction Managers to improve standards and create work instructions.
