Job summary

Lead Site Construction Manager role within SSE's ASTI Project team, based in Scotland (Inverness, Perth or Aberdeen preferred) with extensive site presence. You will lead the construction team to deliver on programme, safety, and quality standards across the portfolio.

You will recruit and mentor construction personnel, ensure CDM compliance, and collaborate with peers to raise standards and craft site work instructions. Driving license is essential for site travel.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to provide technical leadership and guidance to construction teams.
• Experience overseeing large-scale, multidisciplinary infrastructure projects, preferably utilities or transmission.
• Understanding of NEC contracts and experience fulfilling NEC supervisor role preferred.
• Knowledge of health and safety legislation and CDM 2015 Regulations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and report on the overall construction performance of the portfolio.
• Recruit, onboard and develop Construction Site Managers, Supervisors and Trainee Site Construction Managers.
• Provide leadership to the Construction team ensuring CDM compliance and defining responsibilities of team members.
• Share construction expertise and help project managers identify resource requirements and construction techniques.
• Collaborate with other Lead Construction Managers to improve standards and create work instructions.
