Job summary

CAE is seeking a Simulator Technician III to join our Crawley team. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose complex simulator systems, and support engineering with design changes and software enhancements.

The role spans office, on-site, field, and lab settings to keep the most advanced simulators running. You will train other technicians, record maintenance activities, and contribute to safety and reliability across CAE's global simulator platforms.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years direct experience working on simulators.
• Fluency in English.
• Proficiency with software diagnostics and utilities on at least 1 type of simulator.
• Troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to perform in-depth analysis and research for hardware modifications and upgrades.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance tasks on the simulators and associated systems.
• Assist in diagnosing and correcting problems on the simulators.
• Diagnose and correct complex problems on the simulators and associated systems.
• Utilize maintenance management system to record and track maintenance activities.
• Train technicians in basic skills.
• Provide technical training for other technicians.
• Perform pre-flight and post-flight on all simulators.
• Perform visual alignments.
• Run and evaluate FAA ATG/QTG tests.
• Assist Engineering with modifications, design changes, and software enhancements.
• Perform refurbishment and hardware modifications.
• Pursue knowledge to enhance technical expertise.
• Perform software changes to correct problems on the simulators.
• Assist Group Lead in day-to-day maintenance operations.
