Job summary

Wayve in London is seeking a software engineer for the Simulation Technology team to evolve a core component of our simulation platform used to develop and evaluate driving intelligence.

The role focuses on three areas: robot emulator fidelity, visual fidelity, or efficient scaling, and requires collaborating with robotics, research, platform and data teams to deliver accurate, scalable simulations in a hybrid London office environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industry experience designing and programming software
• Excellent development skills in Python
• Deep knowledge of Kubernetes at the user level
• Excellent communication and people engagement skills

Responsibilities

• Own KPIs for simulator cost, SLOs, throughput, latency.
• Align technical dependencies for simulator implementation across teams.
• Lead technical discussions and guide technical direction.
• Integrate the components of the simulated robot into the simulation platform.
• Integrate machine-learned graphics subsystems into the simulation platform.
• Implement production quality software in Python
