Job summary

Harrods in Knightsbridge is seeking a Senior Shift Technician to maintain critical building services and infrastructure across its estate. You will be the escalation point for in-house engineering, handling operation, maintenance and safe isolation of electrical and mechanical systems.

This 4-on, 4-off role covers HV infrastructure, generators, boilers and water systems, offering proactive maintenance, fault response and safety-first practices in line with regulations.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining and operating building services infrastructure.
• HV experience with relevant technical qualifications and authorisations.
• Knowledge of health and safety requirements and industry standards.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and stay organized.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain and isolate critical electrical and mechanical systems.
• Carry out HV switching and support planned maintenance shutdowns.
• Monitor water management systems and regulatory compliance.
• Manage asset registers and maintenance schedules to drive efficiency.
• Provide technical expertise and supervise contractors when required.
• Promote health and safety and drive continuous improvement.
