Job summary

HVAC Recruitment is seeking a Shift Engineer (Electrical Bias) in Wembley to join a facilities management team. The role operates on a 4 on/4 off rotating shift, with 12-hour days and nights, delivering long blocks of time off.

You will perform electrical maintenance, handle breakdowns and out-of-hours callouts, monitor BMS systems overnight, and support mechanical tasks as part of a multi-skilled team; handovers are required at shift changes.

Qualifications

• BS7671 Wiring Regulations - 18th Edition (essential)
• NVQ Level 3 Electrical qualification or equivalent
• Proven experience in a facilities management, mobile maintenance, or building services environment
• Strong fault-finding ability and a proactive approach
• Comfortable with a 12-hour, 4 on/4 off rotating pattern

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance across the site
• Responding to breakdowns and out-of-hours callouts during your shift
• Monitoring building services and BMS-controlled systems overnight
• Supporting mechanical/fabric tasks where required as part of a multi-skilled shift team
• Handover reporting between shift changes
