Job summary

Hargreaves Industrial Services Limited is seeking a Safety Manager to lead SHEQ across our engineering services and infrastructure projects in the UK. You will drive safety culture, maintain ISO certifications and provide strategic and technical leadership to ensure compliance and operational excellence.

The role calls for strong experience in construction/engineering environments, CDM, and the ability to engage from site level to executive leadership while managing risk and contractor

Qualifications

• Significant experience in a senior health and safety leadership role within construction, engineering, infrastructure or industrial operations.
• CDM experience and strong risk management knowledge.
• Experience implementing and maintaining ISO 45001 management systems.
• Proven experience leading audits, investigations and improvement programmes.
• Experience managing contractors and high-risk activities.
• Strong communication and influencing skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of SHEQ strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality legislation.
• Maintain ISO 45001, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 management systems.
• Provide technical safety leadership across engineering, maintenance and infrastructure activities.
• Drive continual improvement in safety performance, risk management and asset integrity.
• Support nationwide projects where required and influence safety culture at all levels.
