Senior Sexual Health Nurse

We are looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable Senior Sexual Health Nurse to join our caring and progressive team in Swale.

Main duties of the job

Our team delivers high-quality evidence-based care to people to support their sexual health needs.

You’ll be part of an enthusiastic and passionate team dedicated to keeping people in Kent and Medway safe and well, now and in later life, by providing contraception, treatment for sexually‑transmitted infections, and advice and support to maintain healthy relationships.

You’ll provide sound clinical judgement and leadership to support our team to safely deliver patient‑centred care, and consistently monitor quality and progress in a challenging but rewarding environment.

Person Specification
Qualifications
  • Registered health care professional with the Nursing and Midwifery Council
  • Hold the relevant STIF intermediate qualification
Experience
  • Experience of managing complex caseloads
  • Experience of supporting/ mentoring others
  • Experience working in a sexual health clinic
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Awareness of developments within the NHS would be an advantage as well as an understanding of National Service Frameworks and NICE guidance.
  • Knowledge of up to date clinical practice by using up‑to‑date skills and adhering to evidence‑based procedures and clinical effectiveness frameworks.
