Job summary

JP Engineering in Glasgow is seeking a Senior Setting Out Engineer to lead setting-out works on projects across Glasgow. The role requires strong site experience and offers a permanent, long-term position with a competitive £52,000+ salary and overtime opportunities.

You will work closely with Site Managers, read and interpret drawings, use surveying equipment, and ensure accuracy and high standards. If you have CSCS certification and a civil engineering background, we'd like to hear from you.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Setting Out Engineer, ideally at Senior level.
• Background in civil engineering or construction.
• Knowledge of setting out and surveying.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• CSCS certification.

Responsibilities

• Setting out works accurately from drawings and specifications.
• Carrying out levels, measurements and site checks.
• Using surveying equipment and relevant software.
• Working closely with Site Managers and the wider project team.
• Monitoring works to ensure they are completed accurately and to the required standards.
• Providing technical support and guidance on site.
• Maintaining accurate records and reporting progress.
