Job summary

IBM Consulting UK FutureNow is seeking a Senior ServiceNow Developer to lead complex UK public-sector ServiceNow programmes, designing secure, scalable solutions and providing technical leadership across delivery teams.

You will design and implement integrations, customise applications, mentor juniors, and ensure upgrade-safe deployments while adhering to security governance and BPSS/NVS requirements. A UK SC security clearance or eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Senior ServiceNow Developer delivering complex implementations.
• Strong hands-on JavaScript development across server/client sides and ServiceNow components.
• Experience with Flow Designer, IntegrationHub and automation.
• REST/SOAP integrations, APIs and custom apps.
• Understand ServiceNow architecture, data models, security and best practices.
• Experience with Update Sets, Source Control, ATF and deployment practices.
• Experience in Agile/DevOps environments and code reviews.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and configure ServiceNow solutions across applications, workflows and scripts.
• Develop server-side and client-side JavaScript to meet complex requirements.
• Implement integrations using REST, SOAP and IntegrationHub.
• Maintain custom/scoped applications, data models and APIs.
• Support Agile delivery through sprints, testing and reviews.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior developers.
• Ensure upgrade-safe, minimal-customisation deployments and governance compliance.
