Job summary

Silcom Recruitment Limited in Otterbourne is seeking a highly capable Service Technician with at least 5 years in a workshop environment. You will perform servicing, maintenance and repairs, diagnose faults, and keep thorough records of all activities, ensuring work meets manufacturer standards.

The role offers a basic salary of £37,000 plus a £6,000 annual bonus, with overtime available and a Monday–Friday schedule (8:00am–4:30pm); weekends are not required.

Qualifications

• Driving licence required.
• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent as a minimum.
• MOT Tester Licence required.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in a workshop environment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing, maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicles.
• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to identify potential problems and recommend necessary repairs.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults where required.
• Keep accurate records of all maintenance, servicing, MOT and repair activities.
• Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with manufacturer and industry standards.
