Energy Jobline ZR is recruiting a Senior Service Engineer - Gas for a leading heating and HVAC hire specialist in Scotland. The role is hands-on, focusing on fault finding, installation and servicing of large commercial gas heating systems.

The position offers a salary up to £57,000 DOE, a company vehicle and a full-time permanent contract, with ongoing training and development as the team grows across commercial and industrial sites.

Qualifications

• Commercial Gas qualification is essential.
• Experience with forced draught burners.
• Experience servicing, maintaining and installing large commercial heating systems.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Willingness to travel and flexible hours.
• Full UK Driving Licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on large commercial gas heating equipment.
• Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs on commercial heating systems.
• Install, commission and decommission temporary heating equipment.
• Work on forced draught burners and associated commercial gas-fired plant.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdowns.
• Ensure all equipment complies with current legislation and safety standards.
• Complete service reports and maintenance documentation accurately.
• Support customers with technical advice and fault diagnosis.
• Represent the business professionally on customer sites.
• Assist with mentoring and supporting other engineers where required.

Job DescriptionSenior Service Engineer - Gas Central Belt, Scotland Up to £57,000 DOE Company Vehicle | Full-Time | Permanent

We're recruiting on behalf of a leading specialist in the heating and HVAC hire industry for an experienced Senior Service Engineer - Gas to join their growing engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled Commercial Gas Engineer with experience working on forced draught burners and large commercial heating systems. The role is hands-on and ideal for someone who enjoys fault finding, installations and delivering high-quality engineering solutions across a variety of customer sites. Initially, there is no on-call requirement, however, as the team continues to grow, you'll join a 1 in 4 on-call rota.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on large commercial gas heating equipment.
• Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs on commercial heating systems.

About You

Essential

• Commercial Gas qualified.
• Proven experience working on forced draught burners.
• Experience servicing, maintaining and installing large commercial heating systems.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance.
• Flexible approach to travel and working hours.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Desirable

• Experience within the temporary heating, HVAC hire or equipment hire industry.
• Experience commissioning commercial heating equipment.
• Electrical fault-finding knowledge.
• Experience working on temporary boiler or heating installations.
• Testing and purging qualifications.
