Cambridge University Press & Assessment is seeking a Service Designer to join the Design team in Cambridge. The role sits within the Books Content Operations group, balancing technical and creative design across cover and text design, with opportunities to contribute to high-profile titles.

The position is hybrid, with 40-60% on-site collaboration, and offers a competitive salary (£29,700–£38,550) for 35 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator.
• Strong design sense with ability to balance creative and technical requirements.
• Experience or interest in academic publishing and book design preferred.

Responsibilities

• Commission and manage cover design projects from brief to delivery.
• Review artwork for quality, brand consistency and technical accuracy.
• Lead design for high-profile titles and key publishing programmes.
• Contribute to design standards, process improvements and best practice.
• Support and mentor colleagues within the Design team.
