Accountancy Action - Your Specialist Finance Recruitment Partner is seeking a service charge accountant in Borehamwood. The role is office-based, 5 days a week, and sits as the number 2 in the finance team. It offers a clear path for progression as the team expands.

You will manage client accounts, oversee property property accounts, and handle end-to-end service charge processes, including year-end work and manual trial balances.

Qualifications

• Experience in service charges is essential.
• Strong understanding of accounts processes within property/tenancy context.
• Ability to manage month-end and year-end procedures.

Responsibilities

• Manage Clients’ accounts end-to-end.
• Own the implementation process for new properties.
• Undertake and review bank reconciliations within required timeframes.
• Program and produce service charge, ground rent, insurance and rent demands.
• Prepare service charge year/quarterly-end accounts and review with Property Manager.
• Review and prepare service charge year-end accounts up to trial balance (manually).
• Experience of working within service charges is essential.
