Job summary

Lloyd Motor Group is recruiting a Senior Service Advisor for our Lloyd Jaguar Land Rover retailer in Houghton-le-Spring. You will lead the Service Department, support the Service Advisor team, and ensure colleagues deliver exceptional customer service while upholding brand standards.

The role includes organising workload, handling technical queries, booking vehicles for work and communicating progress to customers.

Qualifications

• Experienced as a Service Advisor in automotive industry.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• IT literacy; Kerridge knowledge advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of the Service Department and portray a positive brand impression.
• Provide Service Advisor duties and support to the team.
• Oversee the Service Advisor and Front of House teams.
• Carry out review meetings and report on department performance.
• Work with other department managers.
• Deal with customers professionally and promptly.
• Advise on technical queries and issues.
• Book vehicles for work and inform customers of progress; sell repairs/parts and finalise invoices.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a talented Senior Service Advisor to join the Aftersales team at our Lloyd Jaguar Land Rover retailer based in Houghton-le-Spring.
Salary: Basic Salary DOE with OTE £40,000

Hours: 45 hours per week

Reporting to the Service Manager, your duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Managing all aspects of the Service Department, ensuring the team are portraying a positive impression of the brand at all times.
• Providing support by fulfilling Service Advisor responsibilities.
• Overseeing the Service Advisor and Front of House teams.
• Carrying out review meetings / reporting and improving on department performance.
• Working with other department managers.
• Dealing with all customers in a professional, prompt and courteous manner, portraying a positive first impression of the Service Department.
• Advising on technical queries/issues.
• Booking vehicles into the department for work to be carried out, informing customers of the progress of their vehicle.
• Sell customer repairs/parts etc., and finalising the invoice on completion.

An ideal Senior Service Advisor will hold the following skills and experiences:

• Experienced as a Service Advisor in the automotive industry.
• Motivated, with a proactive approach to customer service.
• Enjoy the challenge of influencing the success of the Service department.
• Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills and be well presented.
• Must be IT literate, and a working knowledge of Kerridge would be advantageous.
• Must hold a full UK driving license.
