Description du poste

At Uswitch, our goal is to be the UK’s favourite way to choose and manage home-life essentials - from broadband and mobiles to energy and insurance. As we continue to grow and expand our services, we are looking for talented individuals who share our passion for making a positive impact on people's lives. If you want to be part of a team that is transforming the way consumers navigate their household services, we would love to hear from you!

We’re part of RVU, a group of online brands that include: Confused, Tempcover, money.co.uk , and Mojo Mortgages.

The role

Search is entering a new era, shaped by AI-generated answers, social discovery, and increasingly competitive commercial SERPs.

We’re looking for a Senior SEO Manager to help lead Uswitch through this fast-changing landscape, ensuring we maintain our strong position.

This role will own the strategic direction of organic growth across some of the UK’s most competitive commercial categories. You’ll be accountable not just for rankings, but for revenue impact, market share growth, and long‑term organic defensibility.

You will sit at the intersection of SEO, Product, and Commercial strategy, ensuring search is embedded into how we build, prioritise, and scale our products.

This is a high‑impact role, reporting into the Head of SEO and Content, which is perfect for someone who wants to shape the future of search within a major consumer brand.

N.B - This role is suitable for people looking for Account Director level roles in an agency model.

What you’ll be doing
  • Organic Growth Strategy and Commercial Impact
  • Define and lead the organic strategy aligned to revenue, customer acquisition, and category growth targets
  • Identify defensible growth opportunities across technical, content, AI, and social search ecosystems
  • Translate competitive landscape shifts into clear strategic priorities.
  • Technical SEO and Product Integration
  • Embed SEO into product development cycles and roadmap planning
  • Lead advanced technical initiatives across site architecture, indexing, rendering, structured data, Core Web Vitals, and crawl efficiency
  • Use log file analysis, crawl diagnostics, and automation to proactively optimise how search engines & LLMs interact with the site.
  • AI-Driven and Emerging Search Strategy
  • Shape Uswitch’s strategy for AI-generated search experiences and LLM-driven discovery
  • Optimise structured content and information architecture for generative search visibility
  • Identify and test growth opportunities across social search platforms and emerging discovery channels
  • Implement AI-enabled workflows to scale SEO insight, optimisation, and reporting.
  • Performance Intelligence and Automation
  • Work with analyst teams to enhance performance dashboards and automated insight systems
  • Monitor algorithm updates, ranking volatility, and crawl behaviour to mitigate risk.
  • Leadership and Influence
  • Act as the senior SEO authority across the business
  • Influence senior stakeholders with clear, commercially grounded recommendations
  • Champion a culture of experimentation, testing, and continuous optimisation.
What we’re looking for
  • Proven experience leading SEO strategy within a competitive, large‑scale digital business
  • Demonstrable success driving organic growth tied directly to commercial outcomes
  • Advanced technical SEO expertise and experience working closely with engineering teams
  • Strong analytical capability, comfortable modelling opportunity and interpreting large data sets
  • Experience using log files, crawl data, and automation tools to inform strategy
  • Understanding of how AI and social platforms are reshaping discovery
  • Confident communicator who can influence at senior levels
  • Strategic thinker who balances long‑term defensibility with short‑term wins.
  • We don’t expect perfection across every area. We’re looking for someone ambitious, commercially minded, and excited to shape the future of search.
