Job summary

Ormiston Academies Trust in the UK is seeking a National Director of AP and Special Academies to lead SEND strategy across the North and West Regions, shaping provision and practice to secure better outcomes for pupils. You will work with senior leaders, advise principals and SENCOs, coordinate reviews, deliver training, and ensure inclusive education, identification, assessment, and statutory compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience leading SEND and/or SENCO in a school context.
• Knowledge of statutory frameworks and national guidance on SEND.
• Proven track record in school improvement and delivering training.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Advise and support secondary school principals and leadership teams across regions.
• Coordinate, promote and deliver best practice in SEND.
• Lead academy reviews and SENCO network meetings.
• Deliver training and guidance for staff from ECTs to SLTs.
