Job summary

Salford seeks a passionate SENCO in the Secondary Phase with senior leadership experience in a mainstream school to enhance SEND across clusters. You will review practices, lead improvement plans, and provide bespoke support to SENCOs, ensuring effective use of the Graduated Approach.

Qualifications

• Qualified SENCO in the Secondary Phase with SL experience in a mainstream school.
• Proven track record of improving SEND outcomes.
• Strong communication skills and resilience under pressure.
• Ability to lead across clusters and align with SEN Panels.

Responsibilities

• Work across clusters of schools to enhance the whole school SEND strategy.
• Review current practices, identify development areas, create action plans, and provide ongoing support.
• Promote effective SEND leadership and bespoke SENCO support.
• Signpost to Salford services where appropriate and facilitate smooth transitions for SEND learners.
• Contribute as an impartial broker/evaluator for SEND as an active SEN Panel member.
